How to Use Food Suppressants to Achieve Your Weight Loss goals?

How to Use Food Suppressants to Achieve Your Weight Loss goals?

There has been great debate about whether food suppressant pills are actually a solution to weight loss or whether they are a gateway to a whole new world of fresh problems. To properly come to a conclusion, certain facts have to be kept in mind; first of all, food suppressant pills are not recommended for someone hoping to lose just a few pounds. They are recommended for people who are suffering from obesity or those whose weight creates a great health risk for them.

Food pills for suppressant are pills that are used to reduce the urge to eat and they make someone’s appetite for food almost vanish. They do lead to weight loss because of this face but they bring along with them several dangers including insomnia, destabilization of metabolism, depression and several other disadvantages. This however does not mean that the suppressant food pills are all but extremely. If used correctly, these food suppressant pills are of a great advantage. So the question now remains; how can these food suppressant pills be used correctly?

For starters, before one decides to take the suppressant food pills, they need to ensure that a medical individual has sanctioned it. Self medication is something that many people are fond of doing and many times they are not even aware of the repercussions until it is too late. Therefore, before you decide to take the food suppressant pills, be sure toe pay your doctor a visit so he/she can ascertain if they are right for you.

Another thing that has to be considered is that these pills work well for people who are having extreme weight problems. The reduction of appetite for such people is quite helpful because in most cases, their weight problems arise from eating too much wrong food. Someone who is not exactly under threat from weight problems should refrain from the food suppressant pills.

The best and most effective way to make good use of these suppressant food pills is by actually taking them along with other medically recommended foods. In most cases, it is advised that while you are taking these food suppressant pills, you should be feeding really well and your body should never run short of any nutrients. If these pills are taken together with a healthy diet and they are all topped up with a well worked out regular exercise program for the body, there will be more weight and health benefits.

All in all, the food supplement pills can be quite dangerous if used wrongly or by the wrong person but if use appropriately, they will offer good results and leave a smile on the face of anyone.

Often, in your quest to lose weight fast, you sacrifice safety for your health. As such, you take metabolism booster pills that promise to rev up your metabolism, suppress your appetite, and help you lose weight fast. The question is: How safe are these weight loss pills?

Generally speaking, the answer is dependent on many factors. For one thing, there are natural products like herbs that are proven to boost metabolism, which are ingredients in weight loss pills. Think green tea, certain fruits and vegetables, skimmed milk and whole grains. For another thing, exercise should be part of the package as it is the most proven metabolism booster of all.

However, no matter what you choose as a metabolism booster, you must always check the label so that you are assured the following ingredients are not included/limited in said product. Keep in mind that you want to lose weight fast but you also want to lose it safely. In the end, your health is always the most precious treasure you can have, not a sexy body.

Ephedra

Arguably the most popular metabolism booster in the market in the last few years, ephedra was banned by the Food and Drug Administration for its harmful effects and, hence, must be avoided at all costs. You will not like its side effects – heart palpitations, elevated blood pressure, irritability, insomnia, seizures, headaches, heart attack, stroke, and even death.

Unfortunately, its cousins can still be found in some metabolism booster pills that you must also look out for. These chemical substances include ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, norephedrine, methylephedrine and norpseudoephedrine, any or all of which can be present in the so-called ma huang diet pills. When combined with caffeine, yet another known metabolism booster, the side effects can be worse on the body.

Synephrine

In the mad scramble to find a substitute for ephedra in the wake of its ban, manufacturers came up with another metabolism booster called synephrine. This is extracted from the fruits of the citrus aurantium plant, which is called by names like bitter orange, sour orange, zhi shi, and green orange.

It acts similarly to ephedra although fewer side effects are reported by users. When combined with other metabolism boosters like caffeine, its beneficial effects of appetite suppression and slight increase in metabolism can be enjoyed. However, as this substance can also elevate blood pressure and cause heart palpitations, it is highly recommended that doctor approval is secured before consuming pills containing synephrine.

There are other ingredients in the metabolism booster pills available in the market today, which include bladder wrack and Garcinia cambogia, but it is always best to do your research before patronizing these products. You can look to the Internet for scientific resources, join in online forums and discussion, and ask your family and friends about certain ingredients in metabolism-boosting pills.

You will find that doing your research will go a long way towards ensuring that you lose weight quickly, safely and effectively, with the said metabolism booster pills as supplements to help you achieve your goals.

Raw Food Weight Loss Tips

Raw Food Weight Loss Tips

It is true that a raw food weight loss diet, in general is one of the most effective ways to lose weight fast and for quick weight loss. However, there are a few myths and misconceptions I have run into regarding this subject. Here is one raw food weight loss misconception – As long as it is not cooked on a fire it is raw and therefore I can eat it and should expect weight loss. This is a bit incomplete. A soaked almond is technically a raw food. All the enzymes are activated by soaking it and it is live again. But it contains a low level of moisture. A tomato, cucumber or a head of lettuce for example, is raw but they contain a very high level of moisture. So raw food weight loss will occur based mainly on the moisture content of the food itself. Some people I have met who want to convert to raw food for weight loss, eat the foods that are so close to being cooked, it defeats the purpose. Another raw food weight loss misconception is eating raw foods with high sugar content. All sugar or foods that quickly converts to sugar will cause insulin to spike and if glucose in not used up, the insulin will convert this glucose to body fat. Another, aspect of this is when people juice. I meet people who begin juicing but they juice the sweetest foods! I have looked at people’s before and after diet diaries. And I found they consumed more sugar after juicing than before. Fruits like strawberries, guava, watermelon, orange and apple are used. These are the highest sugar content foods. Without changing their level or exertion, they will still be subject to the effects of insulin. Another misconception is that the only way to have raw food weight loss is to be completely raw. This is understandable but it is false. Dietary protein causes an increase in human growth hormone. Human growth hormone is a fat burning hormone and a very powerful one. You just don’t want to consume a lot of dense protein at one time because there will still be an insulin surge. A big salad of high moisture raw foods with some dense protein is a weight loss meal. There are some health imbalances that need this type of diet to lose weight. For example, if there is adrenal fatigue or excess cortisol, not eating dense protein can be counter-productive to weight loss. Raw foods are good for your health and the more you consume of it, the healthier your cells will be and when your body is healthy, it can lose weight. A healthy body can lose weight, and unhealthy body cannot lose weight. The last misconception I want to go over is that raw food is the sole cause for weight loss for those that have lost weight when using weight loss. I can tell you from the numerous clients I have had, that there are people that became raw foodists and still do not lose weight or are still overweight. For some, their goal is not weight loss, so they consume raw foods but still do other things that prevent weight loss. Things like not sleeping enough, going for long times of hunger, consuming high sugar raw foods all contribute to weight gain.  Also, there are health imbalances like subclinical hypothyroidism or adrenal fatigue, where raw foods weight loss will not be enough. Also if adrenals are weak and a woman is going through menopause, she is very likely to gain weight in the midsection. Her adrenal glands are being worked harder to produce the hormones that used to be produced by her ovaries. Diet, exercise and lifestyle should be aligned enough to cause the body to start permanently using body fat for energy. The best thing someone can do to use raw food weight loss, is to have an experienced coach outline a step-by-step program for them so it is a smooth transition where they are winning all the way through on all levels. Not just weight loss. It should be enjoyable and enhance your life mentally, emotionally as well as physically. Every week you should feel you are at a new level of ability and a new level of health.

Use Food Pyramid for Healthy Weight Loss

Use Food Pyramid for Healthy Weight Loss

There are tons of fad diets in the market that promises to burn fat in record time. They not only fail to meet their promises but are unhealthy too. Some of these diets claim – eat only bananas for a week and you will lose 10 pounds, drink cabbage soup for a month and you will lose 5 pounds. The claims of fad diets are interesting to say the least. Do you ever bother to remember the food pyramid that you studied in school time? That is the basis of sensible nutrition.

At the base of the pyramid are carbohydrates- rice, wheat and bread. Next comes vegetables and fruits followed by meat, nuts, eggs and the milk group. Whether a person has six or eight servings depends upon various factors. The only rule is to ensure that you get at least 1200 calories a day. The sugar intake must be kept at a maximum and fat intake must be kept at 20 of the total calories.

When you are on a calories deprivation diet that does not include exercise you shed weight extremely fast. This is because your body is burning protein for energy. Protein contains half the calories that fat does, so you double the amount to sustain the same levels of activity. Besides protein, muscle is four-fifths water. That reduces the quantity of energy derived by another one-fifth. Naturally the weighing scales seem so much friendlier! Unfortunately, by burning muscle protein the person concerned is lowering your basal metabolic rate as a result of which you will burn much less calories for the activities of daily living like sleeping or breathing. When you go back to your normal eating pattern, the weight will come back with a vengeance, because your body is now much less adept at burning calories.

]]>

To really see results you would need to exercise at least five days a week for 30 to 45 minutes at a fairly brisk pace. You should also get into some strength training. That way you will build lean muscle mass and every pound of muscle built burns 35 extra calories a day! You should not stop exercising once you have reached your target weight – you need to keep on a maintenance schedule of about 30 minutes three to four times a week.
